7 ways to get rid of earwigs and keep them away from your home

Remove Moisture and Debris: Earwigs are attracted to moisture and decaying organic matter. Eliminate damp areas around your home, such as leaky faucets, clogged gutters, and piles of leaves or mulch.

Seal Entry Points: Inspect your home for cracks, gaps, and other openings where earwigs can enter.

Trim Vegetation: Keep shrubs, bushes, and other vegetation trimmed back from the exterior of your home.

Use Natural Predators: Introduce natural predators of earwigs, such as birds, frogs, and predatory insects like ground beetles and centipedes, to your garden.

Diatomaceous Earth: Sprinkle food-grade diatomaceous earth around the perimeter of your home and in areas where earwigs are commonly found.

Traps: Set up DIY traps using rolled-up newspapers or cardboard tubes filled with straw or shredded paper.

Chemical Treatments: If earwig infestations persist, consider using chemical insecticides labeled for earwig control.
