American Airlines Launches Flights To New Destination In The Bahamas

From its center in Miami, American Airlines has inaugurated a new route to Governor's Harbour on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera.

The commencement of twice-weekly uninterrupted service on February 3 marks the carrier's sixth route to the Bahamas.

 Chester Cooper, Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation and Deputy Prime Minister, lauded the endeavor to introduce an additional flight to the Caribbean nation.

This new airlift, just one month into 2024, demonstrates the Ministry's unwavering commitment and holistic approach to aggressively expanding airlift into our sixteen island destinations.

We persist in providing travelers with a wide array of genuine experiences through collaborative efforts with industry partners and airlines including American Airlines.

We are excited to maintain existing partnerships and offer travelers a distinctive and unforgettable experience in the Bahamas through the introduction of this new American Airlines route.

Recent enhancements and expansions were made to the departures and arrivals terminals, as well as the fire station, at Governor's Harbour Airport.

We will be providing as many as thirty peak-day flights to The Bahamas with the addition of this new destination, thereby contributing significantly to the travel and tourism sector of the country.
